Description

Spinach Puffs are a savory, easy-to-make appetizer, perfect for parties and gatherings. These crispy puff pastry bites are filled with a creamy cheese mixture and fresh spinach, creating the perfect balance of flavor and texture. Quick to prepare, versatile, and always a crowd-pleaser, these spinach puffs are a must-try!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh dill (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Non-stick cooking spray (for muffin tin)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Prepare the Filling:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, feta, parmesan, egg, chopped spinach, dill (optional), minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Assemble the Puffs:

    • Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet and cut it into 9 equal squares. Place each square in the muffin tin, gently pressing down to fit.
    • Fill each pastry cup with the spinach mixture, then fold the corners of the pastry up to seal the filling inside. Brush the tops with an egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake:

    • Bake for 20 minutes or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed. Allow them to cool for about 10 minutes before removing from the tin.

Notes

  • You can add mushrooms, artichokes, or bell peppers to the filling for extra veggies.
  • Swap feta for goat cheese or ricotta for a different flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes if you want a bit of spice in your puffs.
