Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
- ¼ cup melted butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons water
Optional Icing:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases.
- Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
- Cut into ¾-inch wide strips and twist each strip.
- Place twists on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- If desired, drizzle with icing before serving warm.
