Ingredients
- Cremini mushrooms (or baby bella mushrooms)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup chopped pecans (optional, for texture)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking sheet.
- Prepare mushrooms: Remove stems and finely chop them.
- Sauté filling: In a pan, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the chopped mushroom stems, onion, and garlic for 5-7 minutes. Let cool.
- Mix filling: Combine the cooled mixture with cream cheese, Parmesan, parsley, pecans, salt, and pepper.
- Fill mushrooms: Spoon the mixture into each mushroom cap and arrange them on the baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and slightly crispy on top.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
