Finished with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, they make the ultimate side dish that's both savory and satisfying. Easy to prepare, this recipe will make Brussels sprouts a highlight at your next meal!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, cut in half
  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a gallon-size zip bag, combine the olive oil, butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and lemon juice. Seal the bag and toss everything together to combine.
  • Marinate the Brussels Sprouts: Cut the Brussels sprouts in half or quarter them if they’re large, then add them to the bag with the marinade. Seal the bag tightly and shake until the sprouts are evenly coated in the marinade. Refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat and Roast: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the marinated Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Roast: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden and crispy on the edges.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Add Spice: For a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce to the marinade.
  • Balsamic Glaze: Drizzle balsamic glaze over the Brussels sprouts after roasting for a sweet and tangy finish.
  • Other Herbs: Feel free to experiment with different herbs like thyme, rosemary, or parsley to enhance the flavor profile.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Replace butter with additional olive oil or another oil of your choice for a dairy-free version.
